Meet the new Days of '47 Royalty:
Queen: Baylee Hogan
Baylee, the daughter of Monte and Christine Hogan or St. George, was also the winner of the Annie Taylor Hyde Award, an honor bestowed by pageant contestants recognizing the peer who is the most congenial, kind, compatible and friendly. This is the first time one young woman won both honors. Baylee is a classically-trained vocalist in Latin, opera and operetta. She is also a pianist and was Miss St. George City. She is fluent in Italian and American Sign Language.
1st Attendant: Rachel Kennedy
Rachel is the daughter of Ken and Nancy Kennedy of Brigham City. She was a Sterling Scholar winner in Family and Consumer Sciences and is a resident advisor to 40 first-year students at the University of Utah. She is studying Athletic Training with a minor in nutrition at the U. Rachel served a church mission in Wellington, New Zealand, where she was a Sister Training Leader for 10 months.
2nd Attendant: Stephanie Bland
Stephanie is the daughter of Jeffrey and Laura Bland of Smithfield, where she was a member of the Smithfield City Royalty. Stephanie is a registered nurse who received high honors from Weber State University and maintained a high GPA while a student at Utah State University. She is the historian of Health Occupational Students of America and active in Rotaract, the young adult arm of the service organization Rotary International.
